Free Trick or Treat in downtown Manhattan Beach Sunday, October 26 at participating merchants.

Downtown business owners are offering kids of all ages a safe Trick or Treat experience Sunday, October 26 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Participating merchants will have a flyer in their store window that identifies them as part of the event.

"We encourage everyone to come down for the (Friendship) walk and stay all day," says Kelly Stroman, executive director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professional Association. "Families can take their time enjoying the day and strolling through all of downtown."

Treats will be given to kids in costumes, with another treat stop during the pumpkin races at the Downtown MB Farmers Market booth.

Sunday brings a full day of family events to downtown MB.

The 2014 SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk starts at 9 a.m. with a 3.4-mile fundraising walk from the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back to support children with special needs and education.

Then the 24th Annual World Famous Pumpkin Race Festival starts at 12 noon, with final races expected to take place between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
