More Free Basic Lifesaving Classes Available

The Manhattan Beach Community Response Team Association and Beach Cities Health District have added four free lifesaving training in first aid, CPR, and AED for residents of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach on June 20, August 8, October 10 and December 12, all Saturdays, according to MBCERTA President George Butts. 

Participants who pass the training will receive American Red Cross certification for two years.

In the class, you will 

  • Learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns, cuts, head, neck and back injuries and more. 
  • Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).

The trainings will take place from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Joslyn Community Center in Manhattan Beach.

Each class is limited to 30 people and advance registration is a must. To start the enrollment process, email [email protected] with your name, phone, email and home address.

The first free class, on Saturday, April 11, is full.
