Free Lifesaving Class for Beach Cities Residents

The Manhattan Beach Community Emergency Response Team Association has partnered with Beach Cities Health District to offer free lifesaving training in first aid, CPR, and AED for residents of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Participants who pass the training will receive American Red Cross certification for two years.

In the class, you will
  • Learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns, cuts, head, neck and back injuries and more. 
  • Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).

The training will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Joslyn Community Center in Manhattan Beach. The class is limited to 30 people and advance registration is a must. To start the enrollment process, email [email protected] with your name, phone, email and home address.
