Have you seen the giant red "X" around Manhattan Beach? If you have, it's a sure sign that TEDx Manhattan Beach - the year's most inspirational day of ideas and discussion - is just around the corner.

On Saturday, November 6, approximately 1,000 curious and impassioned local community attendees will come together at Mira Costa High School for a day of ideas and discussion around the theme, “FUTURE REIMAGINED” at the 11th annual TEDxManhattanBeach.

But get your tickets soon - Ticket sales close on October 27, and the event has sold out every year since 2014.

The program’s 14 featured speakers, innovators in the fields of science, technology, business, culture, and the arts, will take the stage to deliver impactful 10-minute presentations sharing ideas and developments that meet the challenges of today’s world head-on with solutions that reflect transformative hope and progress.

TEDx Manhattan Beach’s Exhibit Hall will feature hands-on booths showcasing related technology and concepts, offering attendees an opportunity to continue the conversation with presenters and fellow participants. The Exhibit Hall also includes a collaborative art project plus live simulcast of the TEDx MB speaker program.

“Eleven successful years of TEDx Manhattan Beach is testament to the hunger in this community for new ideas and dialogue about what’s possible at the individual, corporate and civic levels to make our world a better place,” said Kate Bergin, TEDx Manhattan Beach founder and organizing committee member.

“Bringing together such a diverse range of speakers and exhibitors answers the call of this community that cares deeply about people locally and in the greater world at large,” Bergin added.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) delivered by today's leading thinkers and doers. Many of the talks are presented at TED's annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, and made available, free, on TED.com.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The Manhattan Beach TEDx event began in 2010.
