There's no such thing as a boring Saturday at the beach, as local photographer Jefferson Graham learned while he was out on an afternoon "photowalk" in Manhattan Beach.
Graham stumbled upon a dramatic scene after a car took out a fire hydrant and hit a light post, causing a flood of water and a massive traffic backup.

The accident occurred on Sepulveda Blvd. in front of the Manhattan Beach Toyota, just before Graham happened to walk by.
"[There was] water everywhere," said Graham, describing the scene. "So much so, the poor guy couldn't back his car out of
it. A river floating down busy Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach - I
walked through it - and multiple police cars and fire engines to deal
with the water and traffic."
"I didn't see it, but did see his dazed expression right afterwards as he watched the fountain going through his car," added Graham.
Traffic was backed up while police and fire personnel cleaned up at the scene; the road is now clear.
