Manhattan Beach Real Estate: 2020 Was Highest Dollar Volume Ever

Jan 17, 2021 08:47AM ● By Mb News Staff
The year 2020 set a new record for dollar volume for real estate transactions within Manhattan Beach, according to Manhattan Beach real estate blog Manhattan Beach Confidential.

A total of $2.563 billion was spent on homes in the city during the calendar year - a calendar year that was actually "missing" a few months when real estate activity was frozen due to COVID-19 shutdowns.

This figure tops the previous annual high, 2017's figure of $2.458 billion, by $105 million.

Additionally, this new total reverses two years of modest declines, said Dave Fratello, broker at Edge Real Estate Agency and author of Manhattan Beach Confidential.

"The year-over-year jump from 2019 was nearly 19% - and that was after we saw a completely respectable $2.158 billion transacted in 2019," said Fratello.
