Manhattan Beach-based artisan Jennifer Oliak of Ounce of Salt Jewelry has created a timely new piece - a lanyard that is designed to hold both a pair of glasses and a mask.
"As I’ve been wearing my mask when out in public, I found myself
constantly shuffling through my purse to grab it after taking it off in
my car or in places where I could be mask-free," said Oliak. "So I came up with a stylish solution to keep my mask close with easy access
while keeping it clean. It is a paperclip link chain that is
long enough to pull on over your head and wear as a lanyard/necklace."
The lanyard is 32 inches long, and it's 24K gold-filled copper base paperclip chain. (The "paperclip" links are 17x7mm.) The 22mm push hinge clasp is made from 24k vermeil (sterling silver base). It's lead free, cadmium free, and nickel free. (There's a black 14K gold-filled version as well.)
The lanyards sell for $150 but right now you can grab a 40% off coupon and get one for only $90.
"One day, we won’t need masks anymore. But we will still be carrying around our glasses," added Oliak.
