Darren's Restaurant to Close for Renovations

Darren's Restaurant is undergoing a transformation and will re-open in July.
The popular Darren's Restaurant will close Sunday, June 29 for renovations and re-open on July 11. Owner/Chef Darren Weiss, who launched the restaurant in 2007, will create a re-imagined interior featuring a large community table and a new menu of small and large plates that can be shared, according to Great Taste Magazine.
New menu selections are reported to include seasonally prepared Northern Alaskan Halibut infused with Bamboo Salt and served with Heirloom Tomato Fondue and a Northeast Scallop entrée served with Fungi Risotto and Braised Leeks.
Work has already begun on Darren's facade where a new floor to ceiling exterior will face the street. A new light and airy interior will feature cool tones of beige and sand complemented by accents of Pacific Rim teal.
Sommelier Nadia Pavlevska and House Mixologist Jonathan Dahl will continue to bring the best in mixed drinks and wine selections to Darren's patrons when the restaurant re-opens.
