Screening of "Salam Neighbor"
Join The Lend a Hand Club at Mira Costa High School for a special screening of "Salam Neighbor" on March 28th at 6:30PM. The movie was shot by the first filmmakers allowed by the United Nations to register and set up a tent inside a Syrian refugee camp.
Mira Costa parent Salam Darwaza, the film’s producer, will be at the event, as well as the film’s director/producer, Chris Temple. Both will participate in a post screening Q&A.
This film has screened at over 140 schools and universities around the world and recently had a New York screening with opening remarks by U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power and a screening on Capitol Hill hosted by Manhattan Beach’s Congressman Ted Lieu.
Tickets may be purchased ahead of time online for $5 plus a fee or for $7 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to the refugees.
