Join the Manhattan Beach Art Center and Gallery 208 in celebrating surf culture beyond the surface. The two concurrent exhibitions, Swell (at the Manhattan Beach Art Center) and Hot Batch (at Gallery 208), will present artworks that are inspired in some measure by surfing. An exploration of the broader cultural context, craftsmanship, and artistry of surfing will underpin the curation at both venues. The exhibition openings will be held on Friday, April 21 starting at the Manhattan Beach Art Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and then continuing at Gallery 208 (located at 208 Manhattan Beach Blvd. in Manhattan Beach) from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
