What began as a way for local business leaders to give something back to Manhattan Beach with a special holiday kick-off has turned into one of the hottest holiday events in the United States.

Founded and produced by Pete Moffett, MB Holiday Fireworks, Inc., this treasured annual event brings the masses together for a spectacular fireworks display. Locals and those in the know head to the Manhattan Beach Pier and a festive mood fills the air throughout downtown Manhattan Beach. Streets are blocked off so folks can snag a place to sit on Manhattan Beach Boulevard to watch this amazing show.

Once the sun sets, fireworks light up the night sky and all eyes gaze upward. The mood is always merry as the community joins in the spirit of the holiay season.

Locals host parties and get the spirited vibe going. Many enjoy fireworks views from their homes; others walk to the downtown area or hang out on the sand or a Walk Street to capture the show. 

Other great activities preceed the fireworks, with downtown rea streets closed around 2 p.m. so that Skechers Snow Park and Sled Hill can open for one and all. Live bands play music starting around 4 p.m.
