The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce has named David Archer as its new president and CEO. His first day at the chamber was Monday, October 25.

Archer replaces Kelly Stroman, who left to become the managing director of the Friendship Foundation's new Friendship Campus.

Archer brings more than 10 years of experience as a chamber president and CEO after serving in that position with the Pismo Beach, Sausalito, and La Quinta chambers of commerce.

“We feel so fortunate to have found a candidate with extensive chamber leadership experience. We look forward to David bringing his knowledge of the inner workings of a chamber to Manhattan Beach,” said Jill Dunn, Board Chair, Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to chamber of commerce leadership experience, Archer has previous experience in the banking and financial management sector, including positions with Bank of America, PacificCare Dental and Vision, Edward Jones, Glendale Federal Bank, and Northrop Corporation.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting from Vanguard University, is a graduate of the “Academy” Leadership Program of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE) and is a past president of the Rotary Club of La Quinta.
