More Outdoor Recreation and Fitness Activities Open in Manhattan BeachMar 25, 2021 11:44AM ● By Dig Mb Staff
After a long year of COVID-19 closures, a variety of new outdoor recreation activities are opening in Manhattan Beach.
Adult Sports Leagues - Registration is now on through April 1 for Manhattan Beach Parks and Rec's Coed Kickball League and Adult Coed Softball League. Email Michael Hudak at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 310-802-5432 for more info.
Additionally, Mens' 16" Slo-Pitch Softball League is slated to begin play in late spring/early summer, from May 3 to June 24.
Manhattan Beach Parks and Rec Activities - Spring registration for Manhattan Beach Parks and Rec classes is now open, and many classes are now back live and in-person. In-person classes include Beach Boot Camp with GI Joe, aquatics, skateboard, soccer, tennis, Zumba, little kids' music classes, and rec camp and summer camp opportunities.
Manhattan Beach Little League - Although there was no opening day parade this year (a longstanding Manhattan Beach tradition), MBLL scrimmages will begin this weekend.
Manhattan Beach Senior Softball Association: The Manhattan Beach Senior Softball Association has restarted its activities this week. It offers slow pitch softball recreation to men 60+ and women 45+. Currently they are conducting skill drills at 9:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays and pickup games at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are organizing league play that will start in the near future. Currently masks are required. They pay at Dorsey Field in Manhattan Beach. Yoga and Fitness Studios: Now that L.A. County has moved into the red tier, yoga and fitness studios are gradually bringing back indoor classes. Indoor classes at Yoga Loft begin on Friday; White House Pilates indoor classes begin on March 29; Yoga MB indoor classes begin on April 1; Club Pilates classes began new hybrid indoor/outdoor classes on March 15.
