Here's your chance to break out of your fitness comfort zone - for free. The Beach Cities Health District is once again offering its Free Fitness series, with free classes for all ages, from February 24 through March 1.
In Manhattan Beach, you can try out boxing combined with Hit interval training at Beastie Gym. There's also a special kids' yoga on the beach opportunity with The Well Fitness Studio.
Other opportunities in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach include pilates, yoga, barre, and even partner-free ballroom dancing exercises, among others.
The classes are free but you must register ahead of time at the BCHD Free Fitness page.
The Free Fitness program was launched by Beach Cities Health
District in 2015 to introduce people of all income and ability levels to
a variety of workout offerings, including yoga, Zumba, dance, strength training and more. All told, this year’s lineup consists
of more than 60 diverse classes.
Beach Cities Health District is among the largest preventive health
agencies in the country and has served the communities of Manhattan
Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach since 1955. As a public agency,
it offers an extensive range of dynamic health and wellness programs
with innovative services and facilities to promote health and prevent
diseases in every lifespan.
