'Tis the season for spreading good cheer - especially to those who are less fortunate. Several groups around the city are hosting toy drives for children in need. Now's your chance to contribute.

Beach Cities Toy Drive: For starters, there's the granddaddy of all toy drives: the 27th Annual Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach Beach Cities Toy Drive. The toy drive is held in cooperation with both cities each year. Toys are given to a variety of local charities.
Drop off: In Manhattan Beach, you can drop off new and unwrapped toys at Manhattan Beach Fire Department, Manhattan Beach Fire Station #2, or at Manhattan Beach City Hall.
Wrapping party: Join in on what's been called "The World's Largest Toy Wrapping Party" on Saturday, December 21 at the Hermosa Beach Community Center (710 Pier Ave. in Hermosa). The party goes from 11:00 a.m. until all of the toys are wrapped.

Gelson's Annual Toy Drive: Gelson's is holding its annual toy drive benefiting Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, from now through December 13.
Drop off: Donate an unwrapped toy at the designated box at Gelson's Market - Manhattan Beach.

Kinecta Toy Drive: Kinecta Federal Credit Union is holding a toy drive to benefit the young patients of local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange County. New, unwrapped toys will be collected through December 12. Note that the following items can NOT be accepted: stuffed animals, handmade blankets, hats or socks, get well cards or big items including bikes or skateboards.
Drop off: Toys are being collected at all Kinecta branch locations, including the Manhattan Beach location.

The Point Holiday Block Party & Toy Drive: The Point is hosting a Holiday Block Party in partnership with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Saturday, December 14, from noon to 4:00 p.m. When you donate a toy, you receive a passport unlocking special shopping & dining Incentives. The block party will also feature holiday music, face painting, balloons and more.
Drop off: Donate an unwrapped toy at check-in on the grass area of The Point and receive your passport.
