The Arthur J Offers 'Stranger Things' Halloween Dinner

Oct 29, 2019 07:39PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Looking for a "stranger" dinner on Halloween? Look no further than The Arthur J for a Stranger Things-themed Halloween feast.

The award-winning steakhouse is featuring a three-course meal along with special Stranger Things-themed cocktails. Come in costume to participate in the costume contest - the top prize is a $300 gift certificate to The Arthur J. (Or, as they put it, "a chance to chill with your favorite weirdos at The Arthur J.")

The three-course dinner is $65 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are still available for 6:00, 6:15, 8:00 and 8:15 slots.

For the first course, choose from seared diver scallops with golden corn, white miso polenta, pickled sweet peppers, and tomato fondue; Swedish meatballs with potato puree, cranberry-kumquat preserves; or a classic Caesar salad with white anchovy, parmigiano-reggiano, and garlic crouton.

For the second course, choose either fried chicken with smashed potatoes and sausage country gravy; pork osso bucco, slow-braised with creamy polenta, mushrooms, and caramelized onions; or steak frites, a 10oz grilled skirt steak with herb fries and bearnaise sauce.

Your second course is served with a choice of butter-laden mashed potatoes; mac & cheese with Vermont sharp cheddar; or creamed spinach with crispy tobacco onions.

Last but not least, finish off with a sweet treat. Diners may choose either carrot cake with brown butter cream cheese frosting, pineapple and toasted coconut; or the famous Chocolate Fix: dark chocolate budino, coffee-cardamom ice cream, and whipped cream with a sesame crunch.

And you're not done yet! The Arthur J will feature two special Stranger Things-themed cocktails:
The Great Pumpkin - a punch with Great Lakes pumpkin spirit, citrus, allspice, and smoked maple, nutmeg; or The Upside Down - mezcal daisy with Gem & Bolt mezcal, Grand Marnier, hibiscus, blood orange, and clove.

For reservations, visit OpenTable or call 310-878-9620.
