Summer weekends in Manhattan Beach are made for lolling at the beach. But when you're looking for even more fun, we've got you covered. Check out all that's going on for the weekend of July 26-28:

All Weekend:

Manhattan Beach Open Tennis Tournament: Come see Manhattan Beach's finest tennis players at the 52nd annual tournament (Manhattan Beach has a lot of longstanding traditions, doesn't it?). Sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department and presented by Audi Pacific, the tournament will take place at the Live Oak Park and Mira Costa High School tennis courts. Tournament games will be held all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Free demo and clinic at Mira Costa on Friday from 4:00 to 5:00.  The finals will be held on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at the Manhattan Country Club.

Friday:

Pirate Night: OB's Pub & Grill is hosting Pirate Night on Friday night. Enjoy karaoke, drink specials, and prizes for best-dressed. Friday, 9:00 p.m. til close.

Saturday:

Global Innovation Summit: Come on down to the Northrop Grumman Global Innovation Summit/Intern Demonstration, where five teams of Northrop Grumman interns and Mira Costa High School students will battle together to save the world from a (mock-up) humanitarian challenge from wildfires ravaging the planet. There will be planes, quad copters, rovers and…silly string (?!?!). The event, to be held at Waller Football Stadium at Mira Costa, is free. Registration is not mandatory but you may register here. Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Prance Against Plastic: The Progression Foundation is hosting a "prance" (that's right - it's not a march; it's a prance) to protest consumer plastics that pollute our beaches and oceans. It's free to join in the prance, but RSVPs are requested. Participants will prance from the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier, and are then invited to an after-party at Rebel Republic in Hermosa Beach. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to noon.

P.S. I Love You Foundation Day at the Beach: The P.S. I Love You Foundation's 19th annual Day At The Beach matches adult mentors with at-risk children from different schools, shelters and foster care programs across L.A. County for a day of fun. The P.S. I Love You Foundation and its partners provide all of the necessities for a perfect beach day including t-shirts, boogie boards, school supplies, food, drinks, toys and games, and access to special activities like face painting, surf lessons, make-up lessons, and relay races. Sign up to contribute or volunteer. Saturday, at 8th and the Strand, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Exhibit and Book Signing: Local photographer Corinne Rushing will hold a Q-and-A and book signing of her book, "The 5 Wisdoms Project" at Suite 6 Gallery, where her works are currently on display. Saturday, 3:00 p.m.

AcuSound Sound Bath: Ready to take your relaxation to the next level? AcuSoundâ„¢ is a unique 90 minute healing experience guided by certified sound healers and an expert licensed acupuncturist (acupuncture is optional). Using crystal singing bowls, gongs, and vibrational instruments, the experts will help you to relax and go deep into meditation. The experience will be held at Rooted Beings. Tickets are $55. Saturday, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday:

Concert in the Park: Sunday night's concert at Polliwog Park will feature Speedbuggy, a country band with a "twanging" "roadhouse" style reminiscent of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. The concerts are free; bring a picnic and a blanket or beach chair to enjoy with the family. The opening performer is local high school student Kato Rose. Sunday, opening band 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; main performance 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
