On Thursday, it's time to "Dance for a Cure" at Fit On Studios, which is raising funds to help low-income women suffering from breast cancer.
The 11:30 a.m. cardio dance class on Thursday, October 18, is entirely donation-based, with all proceeds going to the Pink Lotus Foundation. Participants are asked to register ahead of time at FitOn Studios.
FitOn Studios Co-Founder Franca Stadvec said that the class would honor all of those women who have shared a cancer journey during their time at FitOn. "Their struggle, fight, battle, and survival is an inspiration to us all and what keeps us doing what we do," said Bennett.
The class is part of Breast Cancer Awareness Week at FitOn Studios, with other awareness events and an ongoing donation collection for Pink Lotus.
FitOn Studios was founded eight years ago by longtime friends Stadvec and Angela Bennett. The studio has become a fixture in Manhattan Beach and is a frequent contributor and sponsor of local causes.
The Pink Lotus Foundation is nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income, uninsured and underinsured women. The foundation provides financial aid to enable its beneficiaries to receive 100% free breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and support.
