Enter the #Manhappenings Manhattan Beach Photo Contest

Life in Manhattan Beach is nothing if not picturesque... so why not share your pictures? The Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department is holding a #Manhappenings Insta-Photo contest with the theme "A Day in the Life of Manhattan Beach."
From now through May 31, share your Manhattan Beach photos on social media with the hashtag #Manhappenings, follow Manhattan Beach Parks and Rec (@mbparksandrec), and tag them in the photo.
The Manhappenings contest is looking in for photos in three categories: Beach Life, Parks and Open Spaces (non-beach outdoor living and recreation), and Community Life (Parks and Rec events, recreation classes, civic engagement, education, downtown, night life, neighborhoods and public art). Make sure to specify in your post which category best fits your photo.
The top photos will be featured in an upcoming art exhibition, Day in the Life of Manhattan Beach, to be held at the Manhattan Beach Art Center from June 29 through August 5.
Photographers of all ages are welcome to participate in contest. The photographer's account must be public and all photos must be original photos taken by the photo contest participant. Entries must be high resolution photos taken within the Manhattan Beach city limits. Photographers retain the copyright to his or her own work; however, photo entries may be reposted and given credit on @mbparksandrec Instagram account.
Not a photographer, or not on social media? A concurrent art contest is looking entries in drawing, painting, sculpture, or other mixed media. For an application form and more information, see the Day In the Life of Manhattan Beach rules page.
