The pizza will be available from March 30 through April 8, for ordering in-store or online.
The Matzah Pizza comes in a personal pan size, has double-stacked crusts for extra flavor, and can include any of Fresh Brothers' regular toppings, including vegetarian and vegan options. The price is the same as for a regular personal pizza
Adam Goldberg, founder and CEO of Fresh Brothers, has said that the idea for "Matzah Madness" came about when Fresh Brothers noticed a drop-off in orders during the Passover season, when many customers would stop ordering pizza in observance of the Passover tradition of eating only unleavened bread products. After the company decided to start offering matzah pizza during Passover, it became a popular seasonal favorite.
According to Goldberg, the restaurant takes special care to use dedicated pans and knives for the matzah pizza so there is no overlap with the regular leavened pizza. And while there's not a gluten-free matzah option, there are plenty of other gluten-free options on the menu.
