With 25 years' worth of contributions to the community, Leadership Manhattan Beach is gearing up for a big bash: The leadership organization will celebrate its silver anniversary with a casino-themed party on March 24.

All community members are welcome to attend the party. Tickets are available for a special $75/person early bird price through February 15, after which the price will rise to $100/person.

The party will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the new Manhattan Medical Center at 1000 N. Sepulveda Blvd. Featured attractions include casino games, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and a live and silent auction.

Auction items include tickets to Hamilton, a five-night stay in Paris (excluding airfare), and a seven-night stay in Kona, Hawaii (excluding airfare).

Leadership Manhattan Beach offers a comprehensive 9-month leadership program to educate and develop future community leaders. Recent community projects by Leadership Manhattan Beach classes have included refurbishing the Manhattan Beach Santa float and installing concrete ping-pong tables in locations in town.

The Leadership Manhattan Beach class of 2018 is going to install bicycle fix-it stations in Manhattan Beach that will allow users to elevate a bicycle and use one of eight tools (anchored to the station) to fix a bicycle on the spot.
