Do you have your crew together yet? Time is ticking to register for this year's 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament, which is certain to be popular now that it has returned to a Friday/Saturday schedule.

The 2017 Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament will take place on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th on the south side of the Manhattan Beach Pier from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days. The registration deadline is Monday, July 31

Registration is $400 for non-sponsored teams; $1,000 for locally sponsored teams; and $2,500 for ISF sponsored teams or corporate sponsorships.
(All sponsors and sponsored teams must register through or at 310-924-5111.)

The divisions include: Men's and Women's Open; as well as Master’s Divisions: Men (40 years & up); Men (50 years and up); and Women (35 years & up). (The 50 years and up teams may
play in the 40 years & up group if fewer than 8 teams sign up.) Men's Masters 50 years and up, and Women's Masters will only play Friday, August 4.

The late Charlie Saikley, known as the "Godfather of Beach Volleyball," brought the Manhattan Beach 6-Man Volleyball Tournament to the South Bay more than 40 years ago. The tournament is noted for bringing together friendly but fierce competitors from far and wide, with spirited revelry and unique costumes.

The Jr. 6-Man tournament, now in its third year, will be held on Sunday, August 6 (registration deadline August 4). The junior tournament offers
youth an opportunity dress up and collaborate with their friends, have fun, showcase their skills and prepare them to play in the 6-Man in the future.

Please note that alcohol use at the beach is strictly prohibited. Violators will be cited (up to a $600 fine) for bringing alcohol to the event.
