New Video Highlights Search for Missing Woman

May 26, 2017 09:56PM ● By Jeanne Fratello

Promoting search efforts for Nancy Paulikas at the FirstGlance Film Festival are members of the "Chocolate" film team, including Amy Argyle, actress, Thiago Dadalt, writer/director, Piercey Dalton, who won for "Best Actress", and Kirk Moody, husband of Nancy Paulikas.

As the search for missing Manhattan Beach resident Nancy Paulikas continues, her family is promoting a new video (shown below) that highlights the case.

Paulikas, 56, suffers from early-onset Alzheimer's disease. She disappeared during a family outing to LACMA on October 15, 2016. Despite ongoing and widespread search efforts, her whereabouts remain a mystery.

The new video was made by Thiago Dadalt, who is also the writer and director of a short film called "Chocolate," about an early onset Alzheimer's patient who wanders from her family and is absorbed into L.A.'s homeless community. The film is currently screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

Paulikas' husband Kirk Moody describes the film as being clearly "eerily similar to our situation." The movie was shot last summer and wrapped up shortly before Nancy's disappearance. The uncanny similarities between the fictional film and Paulikas' case encouraged the "Chocolate" team to take up the cause of searching for Nancy.

The reward for information leading to Nancy was upped to $30,000 in April.

Anyone with information on Nancy is urged to contact Moody at (310) 650-7965; or email [email protected]. Updates are posted on www.facebook.com/nancyismissing and http://www.nancyismissing.blogspot.com.
