Learn 'The Art of Brunch' With Chef LeFevre

Apr 05, 2017 10:46AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Need inspiration for a spring brunch? Popular local chef David LeFevre has just the class for you. On Saturday, April 8, Chef LeFevre will bring back his popular "The Art of Brunch" class to guide participants through the basics of hosting a beautiful spring brunch.

The class will begin at 10:30 a.m. at The Arthur J and participants will receive a welcome cocktail, in-person demo with Chef LeFevre, tasting, question and answer session, and recipes to take home.

The class will cover the basics of hosting a great brunch at home: when to start your prep, what to make ahead, and how to bring your dishes to the table HOT. Dishes are inspired by those served at Manhattan Beach Post and Fishing With Dynamite, including Potato, Leek and Emmental Frittata, Pecan Bourbon Bread Pudding, Bacon with Rosemary and Brown Sugar, and Couscous Salad with Fishing With Dynamite Shrimp.

The class will cost $100 per guest. Please call Manhattan Beach Post at (310) 545-5405 to reserve a spot; a credit card deposit will be required.

Note that the workshop will take place at The Arthur J because the kitchen is large enough to allow for demo classes, and because it is normally closed during the day (while MB Post and Fishing With Dynamite are serving brunch).

LeFevre is an award-winning chef whose three acclaimed Manhattan Beach restaurants - MB Post, Fishing With Dynamite, and The Arthur J - have been credited with revitalizing Manhattan Beach's dining scene and making it a popular foodie destination.
