Tip-A-Cop Event To Raise Funds for Special Olympics

Oct 18, 2016 10:06AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Ever been waited on...by a police officer? You'll get your chance on Thursday, October 27, when the Manhattan Beach Police Department and Tin Roof Bistro team up for their popular annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser.

From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., members of the police department will work as celebrity guest servers at the restaurant. Officers will be accepting tips from patrons to benefit Special Olympics programs in Southern California and the South Bay.

All tips made during the event are a tax-deductible donation to the Special Olympics organization, which offers athletic training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the South Bay.

Since 2012, the Manhattan Beach Police Department’s Tip-A-Cop events have raised over $50,000 to help local Special Olympics athletes.

Reservations are recommended for the popular dinner event. Call 310-939-0900 to reserve your spot.
