MB Police Launch 'Pink Patch Project'

Sep 25, 2016 09:09AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
If you start seeing pink around town, it's not your imagination: The Manhattan Beach Police Department has launched the "Pink Patch Project" - a collaborative cancer awareness fundraiser - that will have officers wearing special pink patches throughout the month of October.

The project, which is supported by the Los Angeles County Police Chief’s Association and many other police agencies, aims to raise funds to further the research, treatment, and care of those who are battling and have battled breast cancer.

During October, Manhattan Beach police personnel will be proudly wearing a special pink Manhattan Beach Police patch as a reminder of the departments's dedication and commitment to this project.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department will also be selling a commemorative, miniature police patch for $10, as well as "Pink Patch Project" t-shirts for $20 (with 100% of the profits going to breast cancer treatment, research, and education) at the police department front desk, as well as at various community events throughout the month of October.

For more information, see the Manhattan Beach Police Department Facebook page or the Pink Patch Project Facebook page.
