For the past 10 years, the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market has enriched the community with weekly fresh fruits and veggies, prepared foods, entertainment, and contributions to health and education. On Tuesday, the community will come together to celebrate the market's 10th anniversary in style.

The celebration will begin at 10:45 a.m. with a group aerial photo in the community quad. Vendors, customers, volunteers, City Council members and staff, downtown business owners and the public are all invited to be a part of the picture.

The market will open promptly at 11:00 a.m. with more than 45 vendors ready to greet customers with their weekly smile and fresh food. Customers will find special anniversary flavors and offers throughout the market.

Giveaways sponsored by downtown businesses will be announced every hour on the half hour, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Prizes include such items as a cooking lesson with MB resident/Chef Pamela Salzman; a Farmhouse Cookbook (donated by {pages} a bookstore); a yoga class (courtesy of Beach House Yoga); dining certificates from Pitfire Pizza, The Zislis Group, and Simm’s Group restaurants; and an abundant basket of Farmers Market loot.

Raffle tickets for the giveaways will be on sale for $2/each or 25 for $20. Tickets can be purchased at the Information Booth and ticket holders need not be present to win.

Customers will find an array of special food offerings, including:
