Doesn't Mom deserve a treat this week (well, always, but let's just focus on this week)? Manhattan Beach merchants are offering an array of meals, treats, and specials for Mom and others to enjoy:
Barsha Wines & Spirits: Barsha is offering a selection of Mother's Day wine baskets with wine, chocolate, gift certificates, and other treats; or you can customize your own basket for Mom.
Bella Beach: Help Mom feel beautiful with an array of dresses, pajamas, loungewear, and jewelry from Bella Beach. Bonus: If she stops by early, she can pick up a Lilly Pulitzer dress for Shade Hotel's Kentucky Derby party on Saturday.)
Doma Kitchen: Treat Mom to Doma Kitchen's famous brunch, and she will get a free mimosa for
Mother's Day. (Brunch served from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
Fishbar: A special brunch menu at Fishbar includes seafood-themed specials such as Lobster Benedict ($17.99), Smoked Salmon Toast ($13.99), Blackened Salmon Benedict ($15.99), or a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Muffin ($11.99).
Fit On Studios: Fit On is offering an exercise special for Mom this week: Buy 20 classes and get 3 free. Also, on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., join Fit On for a special Mother's Day shopping and sipping experience at Kendra Scott to raise funds for the Tour de Pier.
Il Fornaio: The Mediterranean island of Sardegna (Sardinia) is being featured with a special menu this month; bring Mom in and treat her to delicacies such as Malloreddus con Polpettine, featuring Sardinian pecorino cheese specially imported from Italy (ridged shell pasta with beef and pork meatballs in tomato sauce; finished with Sardinian extra-virgin olive oil and Sardinian pecorino) ($18.95).
Lido di Manhattan: A Mother's Day brunch menu offers special items including Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes ($12), Chocolate Chip Pancakes ($12), as well as a custom Brunch Combo Plate ($20) or a Make-Your-Own Omelette ($16).
Love & Salt: In addition to the regular weekend brunch menu highlights (Italian doughnuts, blueberry ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, and his cult favorite housemade English muffins), Chef Michael Fiorelli will be offering a twist on a classic Croque Madame. The "ultimate madame" will feature thick cut brioche that's roasted in the oven, open-face, with fontina cheese, proscuitto, and then topped with garden greens and a soft cooked egg, for $16.
Manhattan Beach Marriott: A special Mother's Day Brunch will feature a waffle bar, a made-to-order Eggs Benedict station, an omelette station, a seafood station, assorted entree dishes and salads, as well as desserts and pastries. The brunch will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m; $52 for adults and $25 for kids under 12.
