Lace up those shoes! It's time once again to join the Richstone Pier-to-Pier Walkathon, being held this year on Saturday, April 30, at the Manhattan Beach Pier - Manhattan Beach, CA.

This event represents the 29th annual walkathon benefiting the Richstone Family Center, which is dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse, strengthening families, and and preventing violence in schools, families, and communities. The walk is traditionally held during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is in April.

The walkathon will begin at the pier at 8:00 a.m., with check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m. Participants will start at the Manhattan Beach Pier, travel to the Hermosa Beach Pier and return to Manhattan Beach Pier. Live music will be offered along the course.

Walkers and runners can register at RichstoneFamily.org and pay the registration fee of $25.00, which includes an official Richstone Family Center t-shirt, access to all vendors, giveaways, photobooth and more. The event has currently raised nearly $57,000 toward its goal of $120,000.

On the day of the event, Fox Sports anchor Alex Curry will serve as host and KTLA's Vera Jimenez will be recognized as honorary chair. Active and healthy lifestyle vendors will include KIND Bar, Diabolo Beverage, Health Ade, Aleo Gloe, True Toniqs, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Quest Bars, Baby Bootcamp and more. Warm-up classes will be hosted by Baby Bootcamp just before the walkathon kicks off at 8:00am.
