How much do your kids know about Passover? If they'd like to learn more about the holiday and matzah-making, they'll want to sign up for the Model Matzah Bakery this Sunday.

The event, to be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Manhattan Village Mall on Sunday, April 17, is sponsored by the Jewish Community Center/Chabad of the Beach Cities.

This presentation is designed to offer an exciting interactive environment for children to learn all about Passover. A guided activity will allow children to re-live the exodus from Egypt while rolling their very own matzah.

For those who are interested in ordering shmurah matzah from the Manhattan Torah Center (the Manhattan Beach storefront on Sepulveda that is affiliated with the JCC/CBC), online ordering is available. Shmurah matzot are round, kneaded and shaped by hand, and are similar to the matzot that were baked by the children of Israel as they left Egypt. The matzah will be available for pickup during store hours from Friday April 1 through Friday April 22 as long as supplies last.

Passover begins this year on the evening of Friday, April 22.
