Glowing Dance Party to Raise Funds for MBEF

Mar 19, 2016 06:41PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Calling all tween girls: If you love to dance, move, pose, and have fun with your friends, we've got a great event for you - and it's for a good cause too!

On Saturday, March 26, Haute Yogi will host an Electroga "Glowing Dance Party" for tween girls and their favorite adults from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A registration fee of $40 will secure 2 spaces, one for an adult and one for a child.

The party will serve as a fundraiser for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF). Additional donations may be made to MBEF on the evening of the event.

Electroga is a combination of dance and yoga with upbeat music and bright colors. Girls are urged to bring out their biggest, brightest selves, along with their most obnoxiously fun, bright outfits. A mix of neon glow sticks and flashing lights will complete the full dance party effect.

The event will also serve as an introduction to the upcoming Electroga Tween Yoga Series that begins on April 9. The 8-week series for girls ages 9-12 will be held on Saturdays through May 28 at Haute Yoga from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Electroga, according to instructor Lori Steele, is designed to help girls instill values, find purpose, build self esteem, and develop and maintain strong female friendships. Registration for the 8-week session (cost $150) is available here.
