This weekend you can enjoy food from popular local restaurants - and meet your favorite LA Kings players - at the Kings’ annual Taste of the South Bay event. This year's event, held in partnership with Hush Hush Hair Salon, will take place on Saturday, March 5 at Manhattan Country Club beginning at 6 p.m.

The event, now in its 8th year, will feature a special musical performance as well as appearances by LA Kings players, alumni and staff. Tickets are available for purchase at LAKings.com/taste at $100 for Kings season ticket holders, and $150 for general admission.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kings Care Foundation, which focuses its community outreach efforts on enhancing education, recreational and health-related program for children. 

This year's participating restaurants include Bettolino Kitchen, BREWCO, Cake Bakeshop, Con'i Seafood, Darren's, DOMA Kitchen, El Gringo, Fantastic Cappuccino, Mendocino Farms, Paul Martin's American Grill, Petros, Pitfire Artisan Pizza, Rock'N Fish, Salt Creek Grille, Sausal, Superba Food + Bread, Tin Roof Bistro and The Strand House.

Among the Kings Care Foundation's ongoing pledges to the city of Los Angeles is a $1,000,000 commitment to the LA Kings BloodMobile, which serves to increase the much needed collection of life-saving blood products for the most seriously ill and injured children at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles; a $1,000,000 donation to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times to fund the construction of the camp’s Dining Hall and Activity Center; and a $2,500,000 commitment to Discovery Cube Los Angeles to construct and maintain the "Science of Hockey" permanent educational exhibit.
