SKECHERS To Hold Community Meeting

Feb 23, 2016 11:36AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
With a large new Sepulveda Blvd. complex on the drawing board, SKECHERS will host a community meeting on February 24 to provide updates and answer questions about the project.

The meeting will be held in the Police/Fire Community Room at the Manhattan Beach Fire Department from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. (metered parking is available underground). RSVPs are encouraged but not required; to RSVP, email [email protected].

SKECHERS USA Inc. is proposing a large-scale commercial development project in Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, along Sepulveda Boulevard/Pacific Coast Highway. The findings of the initial study showed that the proposed project could have potentially significant impacts to the area.

At the meeting, SKECHERS design leaders will be reporting on project revisions made in response to issues raised in prior discussions.

The new building for Manhattan Beach is proposed to be built on the west side of Sepulveda Blvd., just north of the Hermosa Beach city limit, and a proposed addition to the current building at 330 S. Sepulveda Blvd. The current addresses are 300, 305, 309, and 317 S. Sepulveda Blvd. and 1050 Duncan Ave.

The two buildings for Hermosa Beach are proposed to be built on the west side of Pacific Coast Highway, north and south of 30th Street. (The addresses are 2851, 2901, 3001, and 3125 Pacific Coast Highway.)
