From the land where palm trees sway... it'll be a Hawaiian holiday at The Strand House on Monday, December 7. That night, The Strand House will host a special Hawaiian-themed holiday dinner featuring acclaimed chef Bev Gannon and Ramey Wine Cellars.

Chef Gannon, a 2004 nominee for the prestigious James Beard Award for “Best Chef Hawaii/Pacific Northwest” and one of the original twelve founding members of the Hawaii Regional Cuisine Movement of the 1990’s, continues her passion by creating eclectic American dishes with Asian overtones.

Ramey Wine Cellars works with prestigious vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County, crafting some of the most highly praised sought after Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Syrah produced in the world today.

The five-course dinner will feature Kapachi sashimi, cashew-crusted mahi mahi, braised oxtails, roti of filet of beef, and a coconut roulade.

The cocktail reception will begin at 6:30pm, and the dinner will follow at 7:00pm. The cost is $150 per person for dinner and wine pairing, excluding tax and a 20% service charge. To reserve a spot, please call 310-545-7470.

The dinner is part of The Strand House's Culinary Masters Series, which was created to bring the world's best chefs, food and wine to The Strand House. Owner Michael Zislis has arranged a for creative roster of guest talent to prepare very special dinners in The Strand House kitchen, often working side by side with chef Greg Hozinsky.
