Community Meeting on Gelson's Proposed MB Store

The proposed Gelson's supermarket project on Sepulveda Blvd. has generated strong feelings on both sides of the issue. Now's your chance to listen and discuss with Manhattan Beach neighbors and development group Paragon Commercial at a community meeting on Wednesday, October 21.
The meeting will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manhattan Beach Library meeting room.
The proposed Gelson's development at 8th and Sepulveda has generated heated discussions and strong emotions on both sides. A vocal group of neighbors believe that the traffic and parking will cause safety issues and disrupt the quiet character of the neighborhood. Nevertheless, representatives for the Gelson's project have laid out a project overview that they say will address residents' concerns. Additionally, the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce has endorsed the project.
