MB 10K and Hometown Fair Road Closures

As Manhattan Beach gears up for one of its biggest weekends of the year, road closures will be in effect throughout parts of downtown. Drivers are asked to expect delays and plan accordingly.

For the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, the following road closures will be in effect, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department:

Friday, October 2 at 7:00 AM to Sunday, October 4 at 8:00 PM:

  • Valley Drive, both directions (from Blanche Road to 15th Street)

Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 AM to Sunday, October 4 at 8:00 PM:

  • 15th Street, both directions (from Valley Drive to Highland Avenue
  • Valley Drive, northbound (from 11th Street to 15th Street
For the Manhattan Beach 10K, all streets on the race course will be closed on Saturday, October 3, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Runners start at 3rd and Valley/3rd and Ardmore. They run on both sides of the greenbelt, then merge and turn left at 15th St. They take a left on Highland Ave. to Manhattan Beach Blvd., then right at Valley. They take a right on 3rd St., left on Morningside, left on 1st St., then left on Ardmore (crossing Valley). From Ardmore, they take a left at 27th St., cross the greenbelt, and take a left at Valley. They take a right on Blanche, left on Bell, run through Sand Dune Park back to Bell, and then left on Rosecrans. From Rosecrans they run down to take a left at Manhattan Ave., right on 36th St., left on the Strand, and then finish the race along the Strand at the Pier.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department will reopen the streets as runners finish the race.
