Did you get to the AVP Manhattan Beach Open this year? Now's your chance to let the city know what you think!
The City of Manhattan Beach Department of Parks and Recreation has opened an online forum for attendees to leave feedback on what worked, what didn't work, and what should be different next year.
To leave your comments, visit Manhattan Beach's Open City Hall online forum and go to the Manhattan Beach Open topic section. Once you're there, you can take a survey and leave online feedback. The results will be used to inform and improve planning for next year's event.
The Manhattan Beach Open volleyball tournament marked its 56th anniversary last month with an estimated 15,000 attendees. The Manhattan Beach Open is the only professional volleyball tournament in which amateurs are able to "place into" the event through pre-qualifying rounds.
Winners of the tournament - including many local residents - are memorialized with bronze volleyball-shaped plaques in the "Volleyball Walk of Fame," which spans the length of the Manhattan Beach Pier.
