Neptunian Woman's Club Hosts Contest for New Logo

Aug 16, 2015 07:42PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Calling all local artists and designers: If you've got the winning design for a new Neptunian Woman's Club (NWC) logo, you could win a cash prize of $500. The club is updating its visual identity and is looking for a new and eye-catching design that expresses the spirit and purpose of the organization.

The contest is open to everyone, and there is no fee to enter (two entries maximum per person). The logo, which will be used both online and in print, should be unique and recognizable to help promote the organization’s mission. The current NWC logo is distinctive for its three multi-colored sea stars.

The NWC was founded in 1909 and is the oldest civic organization in the South Bay. It has a deep-seated tradition of cultivating the passion of like-minded women to support and serve the changing needs of local communities, and to build a better place to live. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to volunteerism and fundraising in support of charitable, educational, and cultural and civic services.

The NWC clubhouse at 10th and Highland Ave. is a local landmark, having been built in 1924, and is the site of many local events and fundraisers.

Logo contest entries must be submitted by email to [email protected] by September 15th. For full details, please see the Neptunian Woman's Club logo contest information page.
