Legends Exhibition Brings Mike Dodd, Sinjin Smith, Tim Hovland to AVP Manhattan Beach Open

Two Manhattan Beach beach volleyball athletes will take to the sand south of the Manhattan Beach Pier in the Manhattan Beach Open Legends exhibition match, held from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Mike Dodd and Steve Obradovich, who call MB their hometown, will play with beach volleyball greats Tim Hovland and Sinjin Smith. Randy Stoklos will coach.
Dodd won the MB Open for four consecutive years in the 1980s with Hovland. The duo won 5 MB Opens. Obradovich won the MB Open with Chris Marlowe in 1976. Playing with a variety of partners, Smith won the MB Open in 1979, 1980, 1986, 1989. Stoklos was his partner in 1986 and '89. Stoklos also won in 1981.

The Legends of Volleyball match featuring Mike Dodd, Tim Hovland, Steve Obradovich ans Sinjin Volley/ Sinjin Smith was so much fun to watch!!! I've ebeen watching them since 1978!! Loved it!!
