Free Public Shuttle, Free Bike Valet for Manhattan Beach Open

A free shuttle and free bike valet parking add two convenient options for folks heading to downtown Manhattan Beach this weekend.
With the AVP Manhattan Beach Open in full swing, beach volleyball fans can park their vehicles for free at Manhattan Village Field, 1300 Parkview Ave. (just west of the Manhattan Country Club) on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today (Saturday, August 16) and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday, August 17). The shuttle will run continuously during those hours, and riders should allow 20-25 minutes for the shuttle to run the loop.
Shuttle riders will be dropped off in downtown MB at Vons, 410 Manhattan Beach Blvd. The AVP MB Open is just a short five-minute walk from that location, down the hill on the sand just south of the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Bike Valet
This year's MBO is also offering a free bike valet, compliments of Hermosa Cyclery. The valet, located directly south of the event site next to the bike path under a red tent,, will be open on Saturday and Sunday during event hours for bicyclists to park their bikes.
Parking Downtown
Folks heading to the AVP MB Open may park in the available public lots located throughout the City of Manhattan Beach. Standard parking rules apply.
Downtown Valet Service During the Day
Public valet parking is also available from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. in downtown MB. The expanded service hours for valet parking are available next to the following locations:
Uber/Lyft Drop Off
The City of Manhattan Beach has designated Morningside Drive north of Manhattan Beach Boulevard as the official Lyft/Uber drop off location. All Lyft/Uber users should be picked up and dropped off at that location.
