Summer Movie Series Continues with 'Frozen' on the Beach

Aug 06, 2015 10:05PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Summer nights are made for movies, and the whole family can enjoy this one: a free screening of the movie "Frozen" on the beach on Friday, August 14, with activities starting at 6:00 p.m.

The movie will be shown in the center court of the AVP Manhattan Beach Open beach volleyball tournament, south of the Manhattan Beach Pier. Seats will be available in the stands, or guests can bring beach chairs and blankets to watch in the sand.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. there will be music, followed by a raffle with prizes from local merchants at 6:20. The movie will begin at 6:30.

The sky deck, which is a covered area above the AVP stands and is reserved for VIP seating during the tournament, will be open to the public on movie night. Refreshments and drinks will be available for purchase in the sky deck, along with a cash bar.

The summer movie series represents a partnership with the City of Manhattan Beach, Nikau Kai Waterman Shop, and other local merchants.

All proceeds from the event will go to TEAM SUP USA and the Mira Costa Surf Team.
