The mercy rule ended the first game for the Manhattan Beach Little League Junior All-Stars in the West Regional Tournament, as MBLL took down a team from Utah 13-0 Thursday afternoon in Vancouver, WA in five innings.
Merrick Baldo pitched four innings for the win and Dylan Dennis went 4 for 4 at the plate, hitting in six runs.
The MBLL Juniors go up against a team from Arizona on Saturday (August 9) in Propstra Stadium.
"We see Arizona as an incredibly difficult challenge," Manager Keith Ramsey told DigMB. "It's going to take a great game on our part to come out victorious."
