The Junior All-Star team from Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach Little Leagues won the Junior League Southern Californa Championship Friday night, defeating Brawley 13-4 in a best of three games series.
The MB/HB team heads to Vancouver, WA Sunday for the next step in their bid to go to the World Series.
Merrick Baldo pitched a complete game for the win while Dylan Dennis cleared the bases with a double and Colin Livingston batted in two runs, according to Manager Keith Ramsey.
He called Merrick's pitching "masterful" noting the teen "made some impressive in-game adjustments."
"I couldn't me more proud of this group," said Ramsey, "We have done a terrific job of gelling in a short time and the chemistry has been great from the outset."
