If you're wondering whether or not White Light White Night 2015 will happen tonight (Saturday, July 18) due to today's rain, the great news is it will, according to representatives with Walk With Sally, the organization staging the annual fundraising gala. Tents and heaters will be provided to keep guests comfortable.
The red carpet, all-white event raises funds for Walk With Sally, a non-profit that provides healing and comfort to children debilitated by the emotional experience of living with or losing a parent, guardian, or sibling to cancer. Its annual gala is a highly anticipated evening of fun, friendship, and philanthropy that this year again is set atop the roof of The Plaza at Continental Park, l870 South Nash St., El Segundo. The gala goes from 5 to 11 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to wear white for the evening of light, love, and laughter. Neil Diamond tribute band Super Diamond will provide entertainment and guests will enjoy gourmet bites from more than 20 restaurants, including The Strand House, Pitfire Artisan Pizza, Simmzy's, and Doma Kitchen, all from Manhattan Beach. Festivities will also include beverages and specialty cocktails from local craft breweries and boutique wineries.
The Beacon of Light Award, which honors individuals who give above and beyond year after year to help grow Walk With Sally’s mission, will be presented at the event. This year, the award will be presented to Todd Klawin of Our Media Group, LLC and South Bay Magazine for all of his hard work and support throughout the years.

Walk With Sally brings comfort, support, and healing to its members through free of charge mentoring support programs and services that provide an emotionally safe environment for children to share their difficult experience with someone who has suffered the same.
Nick Arquette, founder of Walk With Sally and a Manhattan Beach resident, formed the organization to help youngsters get through the difficult experience of cancer in the family. His mother, Sally, the organization's namesake who was diagnosed with cancer, believed in the healing spirit of the color white.
Globally, the color white is frequently aligned and imbued with symbolizing the ability to stimulate a person's own divine nature into healing one's self, known as the "White Light of Healing and Protection". In honor of that belief, Walk With Sally invites guests to come together on a beautiful summer night to celebrate hope, healing, and everyone that has come to battle cancer.
