Enter Your Manhattan Beach Photos in Congressional Photo Contest

The Manhattan Beach Pier is always a favorite of photographers.

Photographers of all ages are invited to submit photos of their favorites places in Manhattan Beach and elsewhere in Congressman Ted W. Lieu's district.

“California’s 33rd District has so much to offer," said Lieu in a press release. "With all our beautiful beaches, vast mountains, hiking trails, countless options for delicious food, schools, festivals, parks, parades, and numerous activities to do, anyone can see that it’s one of the best districts to live in the nation! Constituents will be able to share what they love most about the 33rd through their lens and their vision. I am excited to see what people love most about their hometown.”

Winners will be selected from each city/neighborhood in the District and will be featured/credited on the Congressman’s website and social media pages. Photographers will also be invited to meet the Congressman in-person.

District 33 includes Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Agoura Hills, El Segundo, Playa del Rey, Marina del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica, Santa Monica Mountains communities and parks, Topanga, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Torrance, Northwest San Pedro, Harbor City, Westwood, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the VA Campus, Bel Air Estates and Beverly Glen, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, the Fairfax District, Holmby Hills, Hancock Park/Larchmont, Miracle Mile, Park La Brea, and Calabasas. 

Photos can be submitted through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by tagging @RepTedLieu and using the hashtag #MyCA33. 

The contest runs from July 10 through Sunday, July 19. Winners, selected by Congressman Lieu and his staff, will be announced on Friday, July 24.

Contest Guidelines:

1.) Follow and tag @RepTedLieu on Facebook, Twitter, And Instagram and use the hashtag #MyCA33 to automatically enter the contest and submit your photo.

2.) Photos must be of places located within California’s 33rd District.

3.) Photos should be submitted by the photographer, with the location of where the photo was taken.

4.) Winners will be selected from each city and community in the District and will be invited to meet the Congressman in-person. Photos will be featured and credited on the Congressman’s website and social media pages.

5.) Contest begins July 10 and ends July 19. Winners will be announced on Friday, July 24 and will be selected by Congressman Lieu and his staff.
