"It's a great feeling to be recognized as one of the top players in the country and an honor to represent Mira Costa High School lacrosse," said Zane Crandall, the MCHS team captain who earned the distinction as a junior. Zane has committed to play Division 1 lacrosse at Lafayette College in 2016.

Nicks Coons, the other MCHS All-American, received his honor as a senior. Nick will attend Santa Barbara City College this fall.

Eleven boys were named 2015 US Lacrosse High School All-Americans for Los Angeles County. Four played for Palos Verdes High School, two for Loyola, one for Peninsula, one for Harvard Westlake, and one for Crespi.

Logan Buckstaff (below), who will attend the University of Virginia in the fall, was one of six players to earn an All-Academic distinction from US Lacrosse for Los Angeles County. The defender joined players from Palos Verdes, Brentwood, Harvard-Westlake and View Point high schools in the All-Academic category.
