Jul 05, 2015 04:29PM ● By Mb News Staff
Nikau Kai Waterman Shop's popular Summer Surf Movie Series is back again for year number two with the partnership of the City of Manhattan Beach.

"Shark Tale," the Dreamwork Animation classic, will be screened for free on Friday, July 16 in the outdoor courtyard behind the Manhattan Beach Public Library, adjacent city hall and its open courtyard area.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes on-site food and beverage vendors and kids activities. Music begins at 6:30 p.m., a raffle is at 7 p.m., and the movie begins at 7:30 p.m., according to Jason Shanks, Nikau Kai owner.

"This location is simply perfect for enjoying an evening with your neighbors on the grassy lawn, enjoying a slice of pizza, a glass of lemonade, and of course, a big 'ole bag of popcorn," says Shanks. "So, bring your blanket or lawn chairs and all the kids for an evening to sit back and relax with your family and friends."

All proceeds from the evening go to the ISA SUP Team USA and the
Mira Costa High School Surf Team.
