Jun 12, 2015 08:17AM ● By DigMB Staff
Six Mira Costa High School seniors were awarded scholarships at the PTA Council's Annual Scholarship Luncheon Tuesday held at Tin Roof Bistro.

Mai Nojima, Alex Graves, Tyler Heintz, Sarah Kennedy, Taylor St. Germain, and Ryan Cosner each received a check for $1,000 and a certificate during the luncheon that celebrated their accomplishments. The six seniors were selected from among 90 students who submitted Scholarship Notebooks for consideration. The PTA Council Scholarship Committee based their decisions on grades, involvement in extracurricular activities, work experience, community service, leadership, special distinctions, and potential and promise.

Manhattan Beach Unified School District Superintendent Mike Matthews, district executive staff, MBUSD principals, and members of the School Board joined PTA Council members at the luncheon to honor the scholarship recipients.
