Manhattan Beach diners have a new restaurant on the way: Manhattan House, which offers the culinary finesse of farm-to-table Chef Diana Stavaridis.

Folks lucky enough to have plans to attend GrowingGreat’s Farm to Table Benefit this Saturday, May 2 will have a chance to experience the culinary work of Chef Diana Stavaridis, the chef behind the new Manhattan House, set to open in Manhattan Beach sometime in May.

The new gastropub will focus on sustainable cuisine from Chef D, who moved to Manhattan Beach to live in the community she will serve. She has been hard at work developing her menu and prepping her culinary team.

Chef D joins Josiah Citrin, Chef/Owner of MĂ©lisse, and Dustin Lewandowski, Executive Chef of Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand and Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina, as one of three featured chefs at the event.

Manhattan Beach residents Ellen and Mike Rosenberg will be honored with Growing Great's Green Fork Award at the event. The Rosembergs have been generous contributors to GrowingGreat,
a Manhattan Beach-based non-profit organization committed to empowering every child to grow up healthy through science-based garden and nutrition education, since its founding in 1999.

GrowingGreat works will school children across the nation, including New York, Nevada, and California with a goal to
inspire children and adults to adopt healthy eating habits. The organization works to help children and families understand where food comes from, and to appreciate that food serves a purpose in our overall health and has an impact on our longevity and well-being.

The benefit will be held at
72andSunny, 12101 West Bluff Creek Drive, Playa Vista, with complimentary on-site parking.

Earlier this year, Chef D and Manhattan House broke ground on a new section of the GrowingGreat garden of herbs and vegetables at Pacific Elementary School. The chef will use the fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden in her cuisine at Manhattan House.

Organizations interested in working with the restaurant on educational, charitable or community projects are encouraged to contact Manhattan House at [email protected]. Manhattan House is located at 1019 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
