Classic car enthusiasts, car lovers and the curious will want to gear up for the Manhattan Beach Festival of Motoring taking place Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mira Costa High School. The free event, staged in a parking lot, will feature classic, historic, and sports cars, food trucks and fun.

Started by students Connor Wohl and Aidan Nesicolaci as a Concour's d' Elegance, last year's inaugural event attracted some 500 people. This year, Connor and Aidan, who are members of the Mira Costa Classic Car Club and DaVinci School Car Club, decided to change the name and create a "different concept in the collector car show experience."

This year's event includes the opportunity to ride in a
Porsche Turbo, a Porsche GT3 RS or possibly a new Porsche Supercar 918 for $15 per ride. Donations will be accepted, as well, at the entrance gate, with all donations going to the car clubs at the Mira Costa and DaVinci schools.
